Weaving

 

Weaving workshops took place on a Friday at the DRC and were run by Amy Bond.  The group learned the basics of hand weaving and exploring a wide variety of yarns and colours. They created exciting woven stitches using traditional weaving techniques and also experimented with fun hand-manipulated techniques. 

 

A relaxed group with fun and chat throughout, they all helped and encouraged each other as they continued Paisley’s weaving heritage.  The group experimented with a range of wools, cottons, ribbons and other exciting materials – pushing the boundaries of conventional weaving. 

 

The group's work was on display at the Paisley Arts Centre from 6th July - 23rd July.
